My footwork has always been poor, even when im playing well. Mine is essentially down to poor balance, and poor weight shifts, some reverse pivoting& weight moving around towards the toes. If you post a video, theres some really knowledgable people who post here who will be able to see your faults.

I have been focusing on stability alot recently and this has helped my overall ball striking. 2 major areas for me was: - Good knee bend at address, feeling my weight in the knees and feet - Practicing swinging the club while standing on a 4 x 2 piece of wood. 1. Your feet need to move during the swing. 2. A good drill to learn not to move them too much is to hit shots flat footed. Neither heel comes off the ground until the ball is gone. Nicklaus learned the game as a boy by hitting shots never allowing the heels to come up. He was allowed to roll his ankles but not to lift his heels.

great information. I have the issues and people call me "happy feet"! When I don't move, I have a great ball striking day and when the symptoms kick in, I am so miserable and not helping.

Hit shots flat footed, literally force yourself not to move your right heel up in the follow through. Also you can try standing with a golf ball under one or both feet, the added pinpoint pressure will remind you during the swing to stay stable. These are drills and thoughts really, not swing changes.
