What is the most important thing to carry in your golf bag?

Besides your bag and some really good discs, water may be the most important thing that you carry in your bag. Making sure that you keep enough high quality H2O is going to be essential to your rounds. Besides just simply keeping you hydrated, water helps to keep your joints healthy by lubricating them, keeps you from getting too hungry (out on the course), helps to keep your mind sharp so you can think better, and can give you some much needed energy in as little as 10 minutes.

What are some good snacks to eat for disc golf?

A few of the best snacks for quick energy include any kind of protein bar, peanut bars, energy bars, pop-tarts, and packs of crackers. I grab all of these on every shopping run because I know that I’ll eat them through the day and during my disc golf rounds. My favorite bars are the Nature Valley sweet and salty nut bars. You can find them really cheap on Amazon.

What is the Buzzz disc?

The Buzzz is Discraft’s most popular disc and a really good disc to practice and learn with. This will do wonders for your game if it’s in your bag. Check current InfiniteDiscs.com prices here or grab a Discraft starter set on Amazon.

How to keep score on golf?

The old-fashioned way of keeping score is to take a scorecard and a pen/pencil with you during your rounds. If you really want to do this, it’s a good way to physically document your rounds and can avoid confusion on previous holes or with overall scores. This isn’t really my favorite way of playing, as I usually use the UDisc smartphone app, but a lot of people prefer this. So, keep a few extra scorecards in your bag for your upcoming rounds.

What is a leopard disc?

The Leopard is a fantastic beginner disc and an all-around balanced fairway driver. Every beginner should have this in their bag. Grab one here on InfiniteDiscs.com.

How to get tired after disc golf?

You should always pack snacks. After being in the heat for a while and losing some sweat, your body starts to run low on sugar. According to this article on joslin.org, your body uses its sugar for fuel. So, once you start becoming low on blood sugar, you may start to get tired. Having some moderately healthy snacks can solve this problem. I regularly take about three snack bars with me and maybe some crackers. All of this has some sugar to help your body keep performing at max capacity. These snacks also provide the body a little bit of sodium, which is much needed during your disc golf round. Sodium helps to regulate your body’s concentration of bodily fluids and it helps us absorb vital nutrients. This article on dwfitnessfirst.com explains the need for sodium a little bit more in depth.

You can finish the flap by cutting a 2" wide piece of fabric the length of the flaps edge. #N#Prepare the same way you did the shoulder strap. Pin and sew to the inside of flap first. Then fold to outside, iron, and sew.#N#Your bag is almost complete!

How to make a bottle holder?

Fold over 1/4" of the 6" edge of the fabric, iron flat and sew. This will be the top of your bottle holder.#N#Fold in half, good side in, with 9" edges touching. Sew bottom of bottle holder closed with a 1/4" seam allowance. Then turn right-side out.#N#Iron and Sew the 12" edge (without the curve) of your 12" x 36" fabric.

Step 1: Find a Suitable Backpack

I used the "Jar Top" backpack made by Embark. These are available at Target and on their website. I picked up mine on sale for $20. They also have an "elite" version for $10 more with thicker/padded fabric. I opted for cheap and light. If I need to fix some stitching or add some duct tape later it will just make me like the bag better.

Step 2: Build the Frame

I used 3/4 inch pvc that I had on hand. It should be fairly obvious from the picture what goes where. I cut the horizontal pieces 25 cm and the vertical pieces 18 cm. The shorter sections of pvc that I used across the top and to connect the feet were 10 cm. The origional design didn't have the feet at the bottom.

Step 3: Pack Your Bag!

The frame should fit snuggly to maximize the number of discs you can carry. If you build to my dimensions the top flap should just barely close without having to stress the seams or zipper.

What to do if you find gaps in your bag?

Look and feel are secondary, while the most important thing is you have to like the flight. If you find gaps in your bag, fill them in with some utility discs. Too many discs can be a bad thing though. If you have too many options, you can quickly distract from the shot in front of you. Keep your bag tight and simple.

What is discmania CD2?

The Discmania CD2 is a hybrid fairway and distance driver. It’s got a smaller rim, but gets out there like it is a distance driver. For players with slower arm speed, this can even be your main distance disc. For me, I need a little more speed and stability so I’m carrying the Discmania DD3 in my distance slot.

What does low profile mean on a disc?

The term “low profile” means is that the disc isn’t very tall or deep in your hand. It’s easy to get your fingers under the rim. This is key for getting the disc to spin. In this slot, I’ve found recent success with the Soft Link. Unlike my putting putters, I like my throwers to be on the softer side.

Is the discmania CD2 a hybrid?

While the Instinct can fly far, it is only a speed 7. Having a few higher speed options is a must. The Discmania CD2 is a hybrid fairway and distance driver.
