I have a MGI Zip X1. At $600 it's a major bargain. IMO a remote isn't worth the extra expense. Two minor issues. One is that it doesn't have a speed governor, so you have to adjust the speed control when going up or down hill. It's not a problem for me, and my home course in the foothills of New Hampshire has some 300 feet of elevation change.

If you are a regular walker the powered cart is possibly the best golf purchase you can make. I'm going to give you the other opinion in that the remote is the best part of a powered cart. A guy at my club spent last season with a non remote cart and recently upgraded to a remote version. A couple guys also have the Caddytrek follow carts.
