Yeah, if you don't put the caps on the end pieces and someone lifts it in the back pushing it forward they could dig into the green possibly.. Not likely, but possible. It just glides on the green, like a swiffer, nothing turns.

Theres one on the chipping green at the club where I work. Makes my job a heck of a lot easier when I need to clear the green for the members.
