If nobody is an outright winner, I'd push the pot over to the next hole. You could also just count skins (outright victories) and at the end of the round, divide the pot by the number of skins and distrbute the cash that way. BTW, are you doing handicapped skins or straight-up?

Really frustrating when 3 of you have been battling it out for 5 or 6 holes, halving them left, right and centre and then the 24 handicapper steps in and pinches them all courtesy of a shot he's taking off of you on a par 3.

The way we usually play is all four put in $5, each hole is worth $1 with 9 and 18 worth $2. Holes carry over and no handicap, we all have very similar handicaps and any one of us is capable of a birdie or a snowman. We haven't done this for years however, turned out no one really won or lost any money and it just became more of a bother.
