I clean mine during the Winter by going to Florida to see my Mom and go to the course and proceed to pound my irons into the sandy soil to work away any minor imperfections. I then go to arizona a month later to see in-laws and proceed to finishing step of tumbling my irons in the very small pebbles found on their courses.
