How do you qualify for Mid Am golf?
Qualifications for the Mid-Am are similar to those for the U.S. Amateur, except for the following:Competitors must be at least 25 years old as of the opening day of the main tournament.Competitors must have a USGA handicap index of 3.4 or lower, as opposed to 2.4 or lower for the U.S. Amateur.

How do you get an amateur golf tour?
U.S Amateur You must have an established handicap of 2.4 or lower to enter. The top 64 scores after stroke play will be eligible for the match-play competition, and the winner will receive an exemption into the U.S Open and The Masters in Augusta.
