Why am I duffing my irons right?
It might sound logical that thin and fat contact with your irons comes from different swing flaws, but very often they are caused by the same thing – an upward attack angle. Why am I duffing my long irons?

Why am I hitting the ground first with my irons?
Generally speaking, a thin or fat shot is caused by having your swing center too far behind the ball at impact. This error causes your club to bottom out too far behind the ball and will cause you to hit the ground first (a fat shot) or hit the top of the ball (a thin shot).
Why do I hit the ground before the ball with my irons?
When a player hits the ground before the ball it is generally because their club is attacking the ball from too shallow an angle. Golf coaches refer to this as the "Angle of Approach".

Just wondering if anyone has read up on this method or have taken lessons from Mr. Waldrom. The concept seems to make a lot of sense and so much less technical than what I seem to read day in and day out. I would love to hear any opinions/experiences with this.

Golfers don't flip because they want to "hit" the ball, they flip because their weight isn't forward enough and the pivot isn't sequenced with the arms. We like to say "lag happens".
