Sometimes I think it's a bad move, but occasionally I think it looks great. I'm changing mine to gloss black soon. Grill to do tomorrow.

I'd like to know how to remove it, could it be hydro-dipped in gloss black?

Jmorgan93

I went to a wrapping company to get the chrome done gloss black, they did it for £45 and took about an hour - wrapped in situe on the car. Came out really well!

Bumper off, there's a lot of clips that need levered apart from behind.

ChrisSimm

bumper doesn't need to come off. I broke the passenger side quarter last month after hitting a fox. VW told me it had to come off when I phoned for a quote to have it replaced when it was in for service. Turns out they unclipped it saving me 1 hours labour. cost me £47 for new piece though

Mine was wrapped where it is, in 3 separate pieces. No need to remove, and looks perfect. Can't help you with how to do it though - took it to a local shop that does wrap and tint, and they took care of it.

adam

Wrapping on the car wasn't easy but then again I'm not a wrapper. Much easier off the car but I've seen it done on the car by a pro and it looked good.
