I have been regripping my own clubs for years now, but I am trying to regrip my SIM Max 3 wood, and the tape seems to have meshed into the graphite lol I kid, but I usually flame it then peel it by hand. I spent almost an hour and barely even got a quarter of it gone.

Not sure if this is a special weird case, but in general a heat gun on low just to soften up the tape and glue and then peal off. If you have sticky gunk left on it after the tape is gone try getting some Goo Gone. Spray it on and let it sit a minute then wipe off with paper towels. Might have to work on it for a little bit.

I use a mini torch to very lightly heat up the tape. Like not very long at all, and just quickly moving the torch along the tape. Shaft should still be comfortable to touch bare handed, otherwise too long.

Update, thank for all the advice, I was finally able to strip all the tape off. I literally burned my fingers because I had to peel as it was hot otherwise none came off, but with Johnnie Walker to help the grip is on and I did not give the shaft the chop. I really do appreciate the advice
