Pure acetone is money for removing Sharpie from any disc except Discraft Elite X, I have no idea why it doesn't work on Elite X, but it doesn't. Just make sure that you dispose of the acetone properly (NOT DOWN THE DRAIN) and use rubber gloves.

But to get back on topic, acetone is the only way to go man. Kaboom. if you spray it on and let it sit there for about 20 seconds then wipe it of with a paper towel then the name should ome right off.Dec 6, 2008

Can you get sharpie off of discs?

acetone, the purer the better, nail polish remover works somewhat, but going and buying 100% gets almost anything off. Dry erase markers are magic, go over the sharpie with one then wash it off and it'll get almost all of the sharpie off instantly.Nov 9, 2010

Can you use sharpie on disc golf discs?

The ink will hold but will fade with time. Water won't affect it, though. A sharpie wouldn't compromise the disc's legality because it doesn't have any "detectable thickness".Sep 3, 2009

What do you write on the back of a disc golf disc?

The easiest and most popular way to mark your disc is by writing your name, phone number, and PDGA number (if you have one) on the bottom of the disc with a Sharpie. This helps to distinguish your disc as unique. It also provides contact information so that the disc can be returned to you in case it gets lost.Mar 8, 2021

Can I draw on a disc?

Yes, you can use an off-the-shelf permanent marker, but be careful where you write. The easiest way to label a CD-R is to whip out that permanent marker and write directly on the disc. It's also a great way to assure that the disc won't be readable later on.
