Does anyone know how to disassemble / take apart a golf bag? My Taylormade Purlite club divider shades came off because the elastic bands at the bottom were not attached properly. My arms are too big to reach down there. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

falken19150

Sorry not following. The bottom of the bag has a plastic base which doesn't allow you to access the inside of the bag

falken19150

Figured it out. The bag has 3 plastic tubes which can be removed (not easy to do) and allows the bag to collapse and reattach the dividers. Thanks for the vid and the gravity advice, very helpful.

How did you disassemble it? Same thing happened to my purelite stand bag, and I've been trying various ways of getting the garter back on the tiny hook at the bottom of the bag to no avail.

falken19150

There are 3 plastic tubes serving as the support/spine for the bag. You have grab them and push them down to pull out of the sockets. They will bend pretty far so don't worry. Once you have the 3 tubes out you can collapse the bag to reattach the dividers.

javsrox

Will give it a shot. Fingers crossed I'm able to do it. Thanks Falken19150!

Couldnt get the rods off, so tried using some medical/surgical tools. forceps clamps. Was able to reach the bottom and got lucky was able to hook the elastic back on!

I would go to each website and/or call them and talk to customer service. If they don't carry the parts maybe they could recommend someone who does have universal parts or at least parts that come close to fitting. Or you could goggle say replacement parts for said bags and see what comes up. Good luck.

Oem's change bags and bag suppliers faster than most men change underwear. Don't hold your breath for anything older than this years model (it's July so this years model is already done and next years is likely already nearly going to production). Find a similar bag and then scavenge the parts off them.

I have a top flite bag that was a gift from my daughters on fathers day. I cant wait for a leg to snap. I wont be seeking a replacement.

Anyone know if Ping will sell replacement legs? If yes, should I go direct or through a retailer? Anyone have a good tip for straighting a damaged leg? Something better than bending it with your Hands? Haha

Currently on their list of Parts for Bags (Canada - States might have more). You likely would have to order through a retailer. You would be looking at about $20-$30 per leg.

Thanks, I tried their website and didnt see that. I emailed them and they just it was not covered by a warranty. They didn’t respond the question in my email about replacement parts
