The whole ferrule is slipping up? If so, slide it up as far as you can and rough the shaft up a little (only what will be covered by ferrule). Once you've done that, a little super glue or epoxy and reseat the ferrule. If you need to to be able to slide it up, run water as hot as you can get from your faucet over it for 20-30 seconds.

I have a similar prob with my Nike VR Pro CB's....seems the ferrules have not broken, but have slipped up the graphite shaft about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. I tried to turn them but they are tight. Will the hot water allow me to push them back down the graphite shaft?
