Has anyone built their own set of clubs from golfsmith. How good is the brand snake eyes. I have always bought OEM but i really like the idea of learning how to build my own set and customize it my self. But i want to make sure their products are the same quality as the OEM companies

If you are just getting into club building, I would get a couple of cheap heads to start with. You can pick up some Integra iron heads for around $7 a piece. Once you get it perfected you could step up to something like the Swing Science S800.

Personally, I play all Maltby equipment from Golfworks. The quality of the design and materials is on par with OEMs if not better than many. Ive heard quite a few bad things about Golfsmith, as well as many bad experiences Ive had personally with the company itself.

Snake Eyes clubs are made at the same Factories as the OEMs are using. The quality is excelent and the ability to get custom fit with these products is great. I play a set of Snake Eyes Python XL Irons that were custom fit for me with Pured Aero-Tech Steel Fiber Shafts and the heads were MOI matched.

A custom fitting and built clubs should always beat just off the shelf goods, but a professional club fitter is key!
