In order to avoid an over the top swing path you will need to focus on the downswing. Rather than pushing the club outside of the target line as you begin the downswing you will need to focus on bringing the club down from inside of the target line as it should, rotating around your body in the process.

I'm having trouble with too much draw on my irons mostly, although I am also doing it with my driver and 3 wood sometimes turning it into a hook. I read some articles about drawing the ball so I thought "hey I should try that".. and now I can't STOP it!! I really would not mind this draw so much if it would do it all the time..

Draw or hook? If your ball ends up left of the target, it's a hook.#N#A strong right hand will turn the clubface shut, so there is probably your answer. You could also check the alignment of your clubs, you could be taking address with the clubface shut.

1. My left hand had gotten too strong, too on top of the club. I weakened it a bit by turning it to the left, thumb at 1 o'clock, 2 knuckles showing.

What Causes a Pull?

For a shot to produce no side spin, the clubface must hit the ball with an angle that is square to the club path.
