check setup first....are you working on keeping your back straight and sticking your butt out like Adams Scott? If so.....don't......the more your butt is out at address the more it will want to kick in on the downswing.

My favorite drill to quiet the hips and swing like a pro..... raise the right heal (right handed) 1 inch off the ground while swinging. I used it on the course the other day on 1 shot to whip me back into form and playing buddy says that was buttery..... oh yeah lol

Swing back into your right heel. It will straighten automatically. Then feel like you squat into your left heel just before you get to the top.

I'd advise you to get looked at by a good teaching pro. What you think you are feeling may or may not be what is happening.

As others have said, the hip thrusting is an effect not a cause. Just working on the effect is pointless. If you didn't hip thrust and stand up, you'd bury the club into the ground behind the ball most likely.
