Step 1

Place the golf club in a vise or hold the club by the shaft with your arm pinning the club to your body.

The thick rubber at the butt end of the club does not always cut through. Just peel the grip from the opening to the end and pull the grip off the club.

The tape will leave a residue on the shaft which can be removed by paint thinner, mineral spirits or any adhesive remover like Goof-Off. Put the liquid on a paper towel and briskly rub the sticky areas.

Rinse shaft with mild, soapy water and dry completely. The shaft is now ready for a new grip.

Wow I can't believe how easy it was to use the air compressor. Using air will make it easier to experience with different grip sizes. Really excited as I'm ordering some AP2's and Titleist never builds the grips to my liking.
