Before I left the game in 2009'ish, I played with e6's. I played a round a few days ago and used an e6 ball which was in my bag all that time away - 2008 or 2009 model??? Anyway, I quickly realized why I liked this ball then and now. My "oops" hits were not too far side to side, and my "not enough" shots were enough.........

Not exactly the same. There are probably some extremely minor material and manufacturing changes ... but in general it's a substantially similar ball.

For my swing the e6 of a few years ago performed much like the NXT and Gamer. I played the e6 Soft last season and it was almost identical to the Gamer Soft - somewhat longer than the NXT and Gamer and very good for a surlyn ball on approach shots and around the green.

Below is a summary of the history of the e series. The biggest change was softened cover starting with the 2013 version of the e6. Aside from a very slight drop in overall compression and some dimple design changes with each version, the changes have been negligible.

I started playing them in '15 using the 2013 version, I liked the less side spin with great distance. Then over last winter before the 2017 version I loaded up on the '15s (10 Dz) played better than the '13s still love this ball. This winter I have 3 boxes of them left over. I haven't tried the new version yet but Looking for a sale.

I enjoy the e6 of recent but feel as if the older versions were superior. The lack of green side spin in newer models keeps me from using it on a more consistent basis. However a good ball if you aren't striking it well!

Just an FYI Tried a B6 years ago. Felt great, went straight but putts went full 30% shorter. Even did some demos with other balls between holes, different distances, up/down hills, etc. My putting was sharp - enough to overcome potential psychological factors in sound/feel and no mfg flaws I could see.
