"I personally would take a three iron, an eight iron and a sand wedge/56-degree out with me. I can get enough distance with a three iron off the tee and I am quite confident with it. I could also use it for putting, as it isn’t very lofted.

3w, 7i, 56*/9* for a course of about 7200 yards. I can putt decently with a wedge. I can not however, hit soft pitch shots over bunkers, water et cetera with a 7i/putter. It varies on how you play, assuming you drive the ball far enough and if you get a lot of g.i.r., go with a putter.

Leaving out the putter is a mistake in my opinion, the 4-5 footers are where you win this challenge and I personally would make a higher percentage with my putter over any other club. I played 9 holes in Palm Springs (PGA West) with only a 7i from the blue tees, goal was to break 50.

I would have to know the make up of the course, the length of the holes and in particular the par 3's. Then your club distances to make a good assessment. If I were playing a 6300 yd course with Par 3's of 165, 153, 165, 183, no par 5's over 540.
