To the OP: Moving from MD to FL shouldn't make a difference in your distances. I grew up playing in FL (mostly Tampa, Orlando, and Gainesville) then moved to MD and spent three years there. I played a lot in the Frederick area (Whiskey Creek, Little Bennett, Worthington Manor, MD National) and I hit the ball exactly the same distance both places.
