I'm puzzled by these irons. If a golfer wants a forgiving forged Mizuno the MX-23's are perfect for several hundred dollars less, and if a really easy to hit Mizuno Super GI club is your goal the MX-17's are also excellent for half the price.

I tested the 17's, 23's and the 900's for 2 hours yesterday. They all had the Dynalite S300's in them. Ball flights were mostly the same between all clubs.

What is your handicap and swing speed? I'm interested in the Nippon shafts you have, but I am an aggressive swinger with a speed of 100 on the driver. Just wanted to know your specs for comparison. There are no shops around me where I can demo the Nippons, only True temper shafts.

duryea22

Glad to see you are interested in the Nippon shafts. My swing speed with the irons is 88 mph (6iron) and my Driver is 110-115. (as measured bya Bel SwingMate). My handicap is 11. These shafts feel very light compared to my last set which are Rifle Flighted 5.5's.

I know i'm a relative beginner, but i see these as an ideal club to take me into the lower, and more consistent, scores.
