It's held on with a big doublesided foam sticky pad thing. It comes off real easy, just heat it up a bit and just pull, some use dental floss to cut through the sticky pad, but i just used my fingers and pulled it off.

I helped my bro remove his mk4 badges, all it took was a bit of thin fishing wire carefully behind the back using it like cheese wire to eat at the pads then pull it off. A bit of a rub to clear any stickness left, job done!
