i had the same issue. the guy i bought them from said... OOPS... those are actually only for the tiida. HAHAhA but you can actually wire them to the versa like the above post. i gave up and gave them to superskunk

You need to wire those to the door switch. When you open the door they turn on, close the door they turn off. Do not wire into a new circuit!!!

Its purty easy, buy one of the platic wire tap things and find the power wire going to the door swtich and tap the door sills power wire into it. And then ground the ground wire and vuala. I did that process to my truck and not my V, but the concept is the same.
