Are you sure you had traction fully off? Needs a long press till you hear a beep to be fully off. Stand on the brakes, full throttle (revs to circa 4K) and you're off. Have only tried it once, but it definitely revved higher than 2.5 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Although it seems to vary depending on when your car was built, in the handbook for my car it says hold revs at 3,200, haven't read anywhere that says maximum revs are recommended and I would suspect put a lot of strain on various components?
