So I just bought a new putter and changed out the skinny stock grip with a brand-new SuperStroke 2.0. Perfect size but it just doesn't feel tacky... almost a "waxy" sensation. I tried cleaning it, scrubbing with soap and water but no real change. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how did you fix it?

I usually rub down the new ones with hand sanitizer (alcohol). That seems to clean it up and make it feel better. Right our of the package they are a little off.

All my putters have various SS grips, none feel slick or waxy what so ever. All perform great in my crazy humid and hot climate.

I still have one on my Del Mar and the only reason it feels decent is because it is so worn down. I will be going back to the Lamkin cord grip once this one is 100% done.
