I've got a 2018 Ping Hoofer that's got so many little straps, hooks, pockets in pockets, clips, etc. and though you can probably use them however you wish, what's the REAL intended use for these features? I even called Ping and asked if they had a guide for the bag's nooks, etc.

The first picture, that little black hook is an anchor for the rain cover. You clip all the buttons on then grab the small elastic strap on the bottom of the hood and pull it over that hook to give it a bit of extra tension I guess.

When I had one I used the red hook for my car key fob, and then the interior net pocket next to it for my wallet. I did find that it had way more pockets than I had a need for. I only have a handful of things that need pockets (and several of these don't need a pocket when playing).

I love my Hoofer bags, but I've thought for the past few generations that they are putting pockets/dividers/small little areas just for the sake of doing it. I can't see much need in many of them.

I personally like the arrangement and number of pockets. I don't use the outer pocket above the water bottle holder much. Sometimes I put wrappers and other garbage in there, and I've transferred my gloves to that pocket when it rained. Otherwise I use all of them.
