What is the TaylorMade project (a) golf ball?

The Project (a) golf ball has been designed by TaylorMade engineers for competitive mid-handicappers who need more approach-shot spin. Project (a) is long off every club and feels great. Best of all, it helps you generate the extra spin you need to stop the ball closer to the hole, leaving you shorter putts to promote lower scores.

Which TaylorMade golf balls are best for amateurs?

Amateur golfers tend to generate less spin than Tour players, so TaylorMade’s softest and most durable urethane cover to date provides a soft feel and added spin. The Project (a) golf ball has been designed by TaylorMade engineers for competitive mid-handicappers who need more approach-shot spin.

Is the TaylorMade project a good for the long game?

After observing the way the TaylorMade Project a performed in the short game, I was expecting it to be a dud in the long game. I was wrong. Though it’s not the lowest spinning ball off the tee, its spin numbers are very reasonable. In fact, many golfers will be better served by a ball that produces a little more driver spin like the Project a does.

Making a play for the B-330RX and RXS customer, but doing so from a price point more akin to NXT Tour and Tour S. Interesting to see how this ball does for sales.

So many new balls coming out! They all sound like they'd be awesome to try... The new Callaway Supersofts and SR2's (for me), and TM's TP and TPx. I'm still behind and want to try the Chrome+ and get some more Lethals...

This could be my ball this year. For some reason I struggle spinning the ball around the greens, but spin it excessively on iron shots. It can't hurt to try anyways.

Just ordered a couple dozen of these. Can't wait to see how they perform.

I was reading about this ball yesterday, I like the fact is has a urethane cover and is a 3 piece ball. I have used E5 balls at times and liked the feel although they tend to fly a bit high for my liking. I will try the Project (a) ball when courses open here.

These are being sent to some WRX'ers for testing and the feedback will be posted in a thread in the coming weeks. Watch for that to pop up soon!
