How to tell the difference between a Zing 2 and a 6 iron?

My specs mean my clubs are a little long and more upright, but the biggest difference between older and newer irons are the lofts: My 6-iron has 28 degrees of loft, whereas the Zing 2 has about 32 degrees. Some golfers make the mistake of thinking this is a trick of some sort, when in actuality it’s the benefits of modern technology: Because engineers have gotten better and being able to move the center of gravity further back in the clubhead, they’re able to lower the loft of each iron and still allow you to hit the ball high. Kentendo

I believe the LW in both the Zing and Zing 2 sets was 61*. The S3 was 57*.

BIG STU

The one I have checked out at 59* on my machine. Manufacturing tolerances vary and some one may have set it different in the past. Like Kentendo says the best way is to have it checked on a machine

I've played both the Zings and Zing 2 L/S a fair amount. Most will find it strange but I like these clubs (along with the original Eye 2 SW or XG/Gorge remakes) due to the offset. For whatever reason, I tend to get more consistent contact on partial shots vs. say the Eye 2 LWs (original, +, XG).

nlinneman20

Does the 2 say 2 on it? Or is there another way to tell? I don't think mine says 2, 57 degrees just seems low to me based on the high flops I hit with this thing
