I believe that Ping's aqua grips are a 60 core so on a 600 butt shaft they are the "old" standard size. Many/most companies have moved to a 58 core grip as standard.

Thanks for all the responses. I don't ever before remember reading anywhere a single reference about the benefit of certain players using undersize grips. While my hands measure slightly over the average, my middle finger measures 1/4" under average. And my fingers are strong but definitely aren't burly.
