should be no problem. Really isn't much torsion/twist/impact in that area if you think about it. Just be sure you use enough but not too much...as too much will create a big glob o' stuff on the bottom of the extension....and greater risk the epoxy glob will break off and end up rattling around in your shaft.

After you epoxy the extension and put it into the shaft, turn the club completely upside down while the epoxy cures. This way, if there is any excess you will be able to knock it off with a screwdriver because it didn't drip down the shaft, it dripped up...

Take your normal grip and I'm pretty sure you'll see that, at the most, your palm will barely touch the last half inch. There is no pressure on that last half inch of shaft.
