Anyway, I use my G15 irons and wedges with a full swing from 75+ yards on out and am learning to use PM's short game (hinge and hold) techniques near the green. In days gone by - I would use the 6 to 8 iron for shots between the 20 to 60 yard range.

Ditto, 60 degrees wedge. I like to keep my left wrist cupped for the high pitch shot Bent left wrist for the lower spinner pitch shots. This for typically about 40-80 yard range For greenside chipping well that's whole different technique

For me, there isn't just one club. I will use either a GW, SW or LW depending on the lie, the trouble between me and the pin and where the pin is on the green. If I am playing a links course, I may even use a putter or a 7 or 8 iron as well.

I try not to ever leave myself 30 to 50 yards, but if I somehow do, I will hit anything from a putter, 58 deg, 53 deg, PW, 9i, 8i, or 7i depending on the terrain, conditions, pin position, how I feel that day... Lots of factors.
