I tell you what would be good if you want to start a golf store... Open a shop that does re-grip, shaft repair, a few component clubs, and sell re-loads or (used) Pro V1's and other top balls by the dozen. I have a friend doing this and kills it for what he wants to make about $200,000 a year.

I agree the accounts are hard to get they want to see someone who can pay their bills. So you will need to establish credit with those small companies that don't sell. I don't see the business being a solid investment for the long run. I wish I could say something positive but your competition is almost unbeatable.
