Are SMT irons any good?
The grips feel great and the KBS shafts perform wonderfully. I am never getting my tour card, but these SMT muscle backs make my weekend golfing much more enjoyable with wonderful feel and workability. My biggest complaint is that I did not purchase the full set with the 3 and 4 irons.

It is/was an amazing phenomenon to be sure. More like a study in human nature and one that while not really heard about in our favorite golf rag as much as in years past, still makes for great cocktail party conversation if nothing else. Lines get drawn very similar to the red states and the blue states as the theories begin to fly.

Filament wound shafts are made on the same type of mandrels that sheet wrapped or table rolled shafts are made. Each style of shaft manufacture has one large end to receive the grip, the small end of either, of course, expected to go into a clubhead. But that is really where the similarities end.
