So if you hit a house that is OB but the ball hits the roof and makes a huge bounces back onto the course, you would not play that ball as it "was" OB at one part of the ball flight? !!

is the lining being 1" down a pro only thing? if not, im not sure about the rest of you but most courses ive played, the lining is only 1/4 below the surface. if they were an inch, all the hole edges would be torn to shreds from the people who slam the flag stick against the edge while putting the flag back in

Been golfing for over 10 years and this actually happened to me today. You think if they put a 45 degree chamfer on the edge of the plastic cup this would never happen. Kind of weird they do not. It actually makes the ID of the hole smaller which is unfortunate.
