A golf ball drop is literally what it sounds like, a fundraiser with the culminating event being 1,000 golf balls dropped from the sky via helicopter. The balls are dropped over a golfing flag, and the balls landing the nearest distance from the flag are the winners! That is the basic concept, but there is much to be done to flesh out this event.
Why would I want to do this fundraiser?
I cannot explain what a blessing this fundraiser was to us. We literally raised HALF the funds of our adoption costs in this single event.
How do I pull off this fundraiser?
1.) Mentally prepare for all of your thinking space and free time to be swallowed up for the next two months. Physically rearrange your schedule by clearing it. You will need most of your evenings and weekends to work on this event.
