Great club. Hits the ball on a great trajectory with about 5 wood distance for me. One of my favorite clubs. I have a horrible time hitting hybrids so for me it is a natural. I would say it is comparable to a 18 degree hybrid in terms of distance but with a higher trajectory.

I played one for a short while until I discovered a V-Steel 7 wood @21*. I did not hit the Callaway that bad but hit the V-Steel better. I carry it for certain shots along with a V-Steel 9 wood 24*. I still carry a Cally Steelhead 3 wood @13*. Now in my strictly vintage set I do not carry a 3 wood but carry a 4 wood @ 17* and a 5 wood @ 21*.

I have a RFXtreme 7 wood, put a 4 wood Matrix Black Tie in it, it's awesome. Very versatile, took out my 3 hybrid. I can choke down as needed, flight it, stops great on long approaches. I won't be giving it up anytime soon.

I still have a Callaway Steelhead 20* 7 wood with the uniflex Memphis 10 steel shaft. Awesome club. It's in amazing condition, could be tempted to sell if anyone's interested. There's not a big enough yardage gap between it and my 19* hybrid so I typically carry the hybrid.

I'm looking for a little guidance. 70 year old who usually shoots around 80. My 5 Hybrid is a great club for me, 180 is a typical full shot. But as much as I love the 5H, the 4H gives me no confidence. Full shot is 190, but too many less than beautiful shots leaves me mentally shaky.

I personally would go with the shorter-shafted 7 wood. I have an Epic Flash 7 wood and aside from the occasional hooks that high-lofted fairway woods are prone to, it's a fantastic club and I have a lot of confidence in it. However, don't overlook the new Callaway UW. One of those in 21* loft might be just the ticket.

I've hit a buddies Heavenwood and it's a great club. Don't think you'd be disappointed in it at all. I ended up going with a used Ping G410 7 wood since I couldn't find a heavenwood and am actually very happy with it.

The G410 line has Lie Adjust,so Flat Lie =anti hook for me on uphills on my 22 hybrid.Had a G30 7 wood but just love the G410..do try one.Good feel,sound,smooooth shaft,easy to use....just a Ping Club not trying to reinvent the wheel...point n shoot in hindsight a TiSi replacement !

I’ve tried the Epic Heavenwood a couple of seasons ago and didn’t care for it…it has a slightly bigger/deeper head and it just didn't suit my eye. For me a Callaway 7 wood is the better option.

I was just about to suggest the Callaway UW. Finally got to mess around with one in person. Head is smaller than a fairway wood, but bigger and flatter than a traditional hybrid. I'm ordering one to fit just the exact same use case that the OP is. It should slot between my 5w and 24* hybrid.

I am probably going to order at least one new Rogue fairway wood. Play a 15* 3 wood and thinking of removing a 20* hybrid and replacing it with either a Rogue Heavenwood (20*) or 5 wood (19*), but am undecided between the two. Used to carry a 5 wood but dropped it a few years ago for a hybrid but want to go back to second fairway wood.

I've got a V series and Epic heaven wood. I think what's best for you is down to your swing characteristics. If you need more height and club head speed go for the heaven wood, the extra degree of loft and 3 wood length shaft will really help you.

I have the Rogue 5 wood - if you want a little more distance and lesser spin, try the 5 wood with a slightly longer shaft length- I think the Heaven is 42.75 - you can make the 5 wood the same length.

If I could have only one fairway in the bag it would be the HW. I can toe it in hit a hard draw almost as long as a 3 wood or hit a soft cut like a 9 wood.

I would also consider looking at an Epic or even GBB Heavenwood or 5-wood versus Rogue in this case as they’ll be adjustable. If you absolutely know the loft you want (15 degree 3W for example) then no problem but if you’re experimenting with the club and what gap it fills- I know I would prefer the adjustability

I hit the rogue heavenwood. I don't think it's adjustable. I got the epic heavenwood for $100 new from CPO on eBay. Love it. Don't hit 3 off the deck anymore unless I'm practicing.
