Has he tried KT Tape? While I don’t have that level of injury, I’ve had multiple cartilage tears and an MCL repair and it works wonders. I use the Pro Extreme and I can shower with it multiple times before they come off. If he doubled up on the typical strips using 6 instead of 3 it’ll probably be quite stable.
