My natural gas supplier was DTE Energy

My natural gas supplier was DTE Energy. I got a promo from Eligo for a lower rate and switched. Promo expired and not paying attention my rate doubled until DTE sent me a letter comparing the rate difference. Called Eligo and canceled. It took 2 billing cycles for DTE to get me back as a customer. Those two bills were double the norm.

Changed response after correspondence with Eligo

I am updating my review. I originally posted 1 star, and have since changed it to 5. My last bill had a massive increase that resulted in the negative review. I contacted Eligo and a rep is reimbursing me the amount over what my normal local gas supplier charges.

Scam Company. They will rob you!

Terrible Scam! The sales rep initially told me that every 3 months my rate would renew as long as I didn’t cancel. Well that’s not what happened and after the 3rd month they slowly overcharged me.

TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!

TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!! The same experience that everyone else seems to have. Last months bill $300 and this month $400. Our highest gas bill has never breached $120 in the COLDEST months with DTE. We reached out to Eligo a month ago and we got moved from customer service rep to customer service rep.

Shameless and Blatant Scam

As of right now, I am blown away that this company is still allowed to remain in business. Trying to feed a family on a meager salary is difficult enough without these bad-willed organizations. Eligo did what many people here described. They skyrocketed my rates up to triple what they were without giving me any proper notice.

Updated Review, turned positive
