What is the first thing you notice about a fake golf club?

Where are the stickers on golf clubs?

Some companies etch the serial numbers into the metal and some companies use a laser that isn’t actually etched into the metal. Every counterfeit club we have seen uses a laser and is not etched into the metal. This could of course change in the future.
Do counterfeit shaft bands peel?
Counterfeit shaft bands tend to peel up and are not straight on every club. Also, they could be in a different place between clubs for an iron set. Many of the shafts will feel flimsy or not as stiff as the flex stated on the shaft.

I reshaft Mizuno irons all the time. Get the .355 XL, which is more the length you need to match the Mizunos. Use a linen belt to turn down the edges of the ferrules because the diameter of the ferrules will be too wide. Then, get some acetone and cotton balls.
