In fact, let’s put those old ads aside, and talk about what it’s really like to stay at a Club Med. 1. It’s not all about the buffet.
What is a Go’s Club Med?
Club Med has GO’s—gracious organizers—who do everything from mix you a margarita to teach salsa dancing lessons and organize a private dinner on a stretch of sand. At lunch, a GO will pull up a chair and dine with you. (Introverts, beware.)

What is it like working at Callaway?
Fun place to work! The culture is great too. There is so much enthusiasm and passion everywhere you look and we're always doing something fun like Callaway Live recordings, March Madness competitions, celebration of major wins, etc. There's a large onsite cafeteria with excellent food as well.
Fun, very active job
Before you apply just know that the work day is 10+ hours a day. Besides that, working for Club Med is very fun, you get to meet people from different parts of the world and that right there is a win for you.
The benefits are fantastic. Also after one year you get to travel and work at any other club met around the world perin the world
I have not worked here long enough to come up with my own Deeply felt opinion. But so far I can say that it has been a pleasant experience. Give me a couple more months and I will have more to say in this particular category.
Fun place until you find out how it really works
I worked at a few locations. It taught me a lot about different cultures and international hospitality. Once I started moving up, it’s all political and no one is really your friend. Tried to leave a few times and I was manipulated into staying with fake promises of promotions. Managers will make you do their dirty work and then take credit for it.
Fun but tiring
It is a fun place to work but can be tiring. Turnover is high because of the seasonal contracts, which is not a bad thing. After a year, employees are eligible to travel to work in another resort world wide.
Enjoy the clientele
The spa's environment is pleasant. The clientele is great as well... but having a manager position requires a lot of devotion and time to in which I found it difficult managing work and family. So I opted to find part time work.

It was the craziest 6 months of my life, get up, eat, work the pools and eat and socialize with guests. I was never notified why I did not receive a new contract so it left a terrible taste in my mouth.

I loved working here. Everyone was nice and friendly and always helpful. It had gotten to be a lot of hours that was needed to fill the demand for bartenders. I only left because I didn't want to keep working 65 hours a week. It got to be too much for not enough pay.

Great experience to meet new people and work in a multicultural enviroment
In general, I loved this company because of the people I met. They are my friends of the life. When you are alone working outside, especially in the village as a GO, people arounds you are like your own family. That's why I believe in so much that this place bring lots people with similar personality.
Minimum wage and over worked
This is not the best place to work ad you're required to do not only you work duties but other duties in many different departments as well leaving you no down time. The salary is less than minimum wage and the reason they give is they provide your housing and meals. That is still not a great excuse for poor payment.

If you are young and just looking for some work experience and to travel (even though you won’t get to see much of the country you are in ) try it out.

Deceptive and misleading job postings
The only reason that I took the time to apply and interview with Club Med is because the specific Indeed job posting listed the compensation as 35-40K. I believe this was an intention fabrication in order to generate online interest and draw applicants to their "business".
Great place to work
Great experience over all. It was my favorite job in this country. With very good management. I was an employee of the month so you get benefits for you hard work.

If you’re bored, that’s really your problem. Club Med might not be right for dedicated beach bums. It’s not that the resort won’t let you get your tan on, but that by sitting butt-to-lounge-chair all day you’d be missing what Club Med does differently.
