I believe that the earliest 1200 ,around the mid-late seventies and early 80's, were one of Wilson's first foray's into investment cast, perimeter weighted, game improvement clubs. The woods were laminated and had an insignia/weight imbedded in the insert covered in clear plastic.

I bought my Wilson 1200 LT irons in 1983 at Herman's Sporting Goods in NYC. $180 for the irons, 3-PW. The S1 (there was also an S2 that was probably more of a lob wedge) did *not* come with the set, and I had Herman's order it for me.
