I've been wondering same thing but think I'll stick standard for a bit. Like you I've got a fair bit of warranty left and spent more than I should on the car so don't want to be out of pocket for repairs

I've always wondered this too, I know a guy who has an R in my local area but he's not really IT savvy as I've mentioned the forum too him before and he's never been interested, he's running a heavily modified Lapiz Blue 3 door And don't quote me as he may be billybullshi**ing me but he's said his is running 485bhp at the last rolling road day he had with some lads of the Ford RS owners club at Noble Motorsport, how much truth there is in that figure and what he's actually done I don't know but he's had the car a few years now and I see it weekly and always seems to be running smoothly, does anyone know of any R's running 550-600+bhp like you see some of the S3/RS3's running??? I've just fitted s tte 470 to mine as I wanted rid of the stock turbo due to failures. Didn't want to go for 500 plus for the reason of I feel your starting to push the limits of the car. But I know some mates who are running 560hp and have been for a while now and no issues.

Not that 100% on VW as I am on BMW, however as with the ZF box used by modern BMW's the key point of fail is their clutch pack rating.

Just from following people on Instagram. Someone was running 560Bhp before the engine started burning oil. And I there's a white one that I think was 600+ before he blew up his engine. Both on stock internals. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
