What is the name of the golf course that hosted the 2011 Barclays?
A classic Donald Ross course, Plainfield is best known as the host of the 2011 and 2015 Barclays Tournament, the first event in the PGA Tour's playoffs. This is a wonderful layout that takes advantage of its rolling property (the clubhouse is perched atop the highest point in Middlesex County), but most important is the work that's been done in recent years. More than 1,200 trees were removed as part as part of a restoration, bringing back angles as Ross initially designed, and many bunkers were restored to their original grass-faced faces. A great, great track.

Does the Garden State have public clubs?
Readers will quickly notice one commonality about the list: they're all private clubs. It's not to say that the Garden State doesn't have great public clubs; it does, from Ballyowen in North Jersey to Ballamor in South Jersey. It's just that the caliber of private clubs will rival any state in the country.
