Samurai Jack - anyway to make it run better?

Hello everyone, bought a 2020 M1 MacBook pro about two weeks ago. Loving the laptop and loving Apple Arcade. I'm a big Samurai Jack fan so I thought I would give battle through time a shot but it's running really poorly (choppy/stuttering frame rate) I've tried lowering the graphics quality and turning off V-synch neither made much of a difference.
