The NXT Tour & NXT Tour S are both very good golf balls. They are comparable to the Pro V1x & Pro V1, except they do not have a urethane cover and there price point is less than the Pro V1's. Another ball you could try is the DT Tru Soft, it's a very good all-around ball.

I concur with the recommendation of the DT TruSoft. Might be the answer you are looking for. Good distance, spin and low cost. I live by the Prov1 but have played the DT and it is a very efficient and performing ball. Buy a sleeve and give it a try. Velocity is not you answer. It is a hard distance ball.
