They just have to be broken in like any other quality leather shoe, I have 2 pairs and they do have a break-in period, but once broken in I find them extremely comfortable, and a much better quality than FJ icons. You can also order most of their dress shoes and have a golf sole put on them.

I bought a pair of wingtip ones. I think they are the best looking shoe I've ever owned but I only wear them if I'm wearing long pants and if the course isn't soaked.

I wear Allen Edmonds shoes daily to the office and have 6 pairs of them I rotate b/c I wear a suit everyday. The biggest selling point of AE is the quality and they come in specific widths. I'm a 13AA. The golf shoes do hold up beautifully but I only wear then when I'm riding in a cart.
