I believe these were initially released as the HX Hot Bite in 2006 ? They had a couple of versions with that name, then dropped to just HX Bite. Then they were replaced by the HX Diablo Tour. At some point Callaway released the HEX Bite as a discount retailer exclusive (as well as releasing something with the Diablo Tour name). My guess is that the numerous 3-piece surlyn models that Callaway has released to discount and golf retailers over the past few years were likely the same ball rebadged in order to avoid breaking their own MAP restrictions and having non-discount retailers complain.
