Another aspect to consider is that most of the golf companies that currently make balls have been golf ball manufacturers or have some sort of in with the rubber industry, whereas Ping does not. Please explain the ties that Taylormade/Addidas and Callaway had/have with the 'rubber industry".

Did you know that Ping used to make golf balls? It's been over 20 years though, and Rick Shiels managed to track down three of them for testing... but they cost him £25 EACH! Why did they stop making them? How will they play after so long? And will he really cut one of them in half to see what's inside?

They stopped all golf club production at the Dolphin Foundry, here in Phoenix, years ago. All of the cast PING clubs were made, right there for a long time. That was the beauty of PING, all of the work was done here, not only just in the USA, but right here in AZ.

Becu is not bronze. The bronze putters are still very obtainable, mortons golf is one way and I believe they can order a custom spec bronze for you if the model you are asking for originally came in bronze.#N#As lamont said though, no longer do they do any of that in AZ. That really is a travesty imo.

I suspect the question actually refers to Beryllium Copper clubs. If so, their production had to be stopped for health reasons. Apparently, the metal is fine and harmless when finished, but sanding and grinding it can put a health hazard on the workers doing the job.
