The Iowa High School Athletic Association has partnered with three courses and the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau to hold the State Golf Tournaments in Classes 3A, 2A, and 1A in one community for 2022, 2023, and 2024.

The first day of the 2022 boys golf state championships is officially in the books. Monday's opening round saw two teams tie for the Class 2A team lead and two others claim narrow leads on top of the Class 3A and 1A leaderboards entering Tuesday's final round. All three tournaments are taking place in Ames. Tuesday's final round begins at 9 a.m.
