It really depends how many miles you do a year. If its less than 10k then you will have a service at the cars first birthday and be handing it back on the date for its second (so you will not actually have to get the second one done) - so will only cost you 149 quid or so in the two years.

Mine is asking for an oil change in 20 days which will be at 7k miles. Got the car mid May 2014. According to the book it is set for longlife, but maybe the lowish miles and use has negated this somewhat. My last car, a 640D BMW, went a full 2 years before a service was needed (with exactly the same driving profile).
